several cars in the neighborhood have been broken into and also several home burglaries.  2 occurred on Southwest near 44 and Bennet Crt and 2 attempts with the people home all in same area...not sure WHAT is going on but they are casing the neighborhood for sure.  Just a FYI keep your eyes and ears open and be on the look out for any suspicious cars/people etc!  This has all occurred within the past month that I personally know of.....could be more for all we know!

My garage was also broken into during the night of the 18th.  It was not very secure, so I am partially to blame.

Sounds like a prime location, right off the highway at 44 and Southwest  I live right off the highway at 44 and Arsenal.  I live on Hoffman too, same area.  I really don't have anything of value in my garage.  I hope they didn't hit you too hard SS.

My home was broken into on 7/28/08 in the 2100 block of Clifton Ave between noon and 3pm.  They kicked in the basement door and went straight to the master bedroom and filled one of my own pillow cases full and left through my back door leaving it unlocked.   It had to have been someone who had been watching the house.  I was gone for just a few hours that day.  They were in a big hurry from the looks of my ransacked bedroom.  They got everything that could be pawned or sold.  I had a great new Interface security system put in the next day.  I wish I would have done it years ago.

I work in the Security field and unfortunately I have seen this happen ALL the time. Now is the right time to get your locks upgraded and deadbolts installed , security lighting and a good alarm system. Remember most of the things taken are of sentimental value and can not be replaced. Pay for quality now and protect your belongings. Most of the customers we deal with wait and only after something happens do they call us. But you must remember that no matter what you do the wrong people will still be able to get in , you can only try to deter them from going to your home or at the very least make it as difficult as possible for them to gain entry. Remember Security is only as strong as your weakest point and for all of us that would be a window.

there have been several burglaries right around Hoffman and Tamm over the last several months.  My house was the last one to get broken into...and several factors lead me to believe it is someone living right here among us. be a good neighbor and share any info you may have about this, please.
