St. Louis man charged in 8-year-old’s accidental shooting

Prosecutors on Friday charged a St. Louis man in the Dec. 3 accidental shooting of his girlfriend’s 8-year-old son.
Andrew Meyer, 25, of the 6400 block of Arsenal, now faces either a charge of endangering the welfare of a child or second-degree assault. Meyer was charged “in the alternative,” meaning prosecutors believe the evidence would support either charge, and they will a jury decide.
